Laser Alignment

Implementing Laser Alignment of various rotating equipment’s minimizes downtime and maximizes the operating availability of plant machines at reduced Power consumption. This technique will be useful to achieve “precision and accuracy” in alignment at minimum duration of time.

Scope of work:

  • Identification of Misalignment between drive and driven units on machines
  • To carry out Laser Alignment between Drive and Driven units
  • To plot Offset and Angularity values in both Vertical and Horizontal planes
  • To correct the offset and angularity in both vertical and horizontal planes by adding or removing shims at vertical plane and by moving the movable machine to and fro from the shaft central axis in the horizontal plane respectively
  • To classify the machine health condition as Acceptable and Unacceptable as per Alignment Tolerances with respect to speed
  • To correct soft-foot in movable machine base (if found and required)
  • To submit detailed Report on the Alignment Values, Corrections required /done.
  • Laser Alignment can be done up to a maximum distance of 2.5metres between detector units.
  • After achieving the precision alignment vibration analysis with respect to overall amplitudes and signature analysis will be carried out

Note: Carden Shaft / Torsional Shaft alignment are excluded from this scope
